Can you still enjoy the thrill of a live baseball game? Thanks to Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, the answer is a resounding "yes!" Join me as we explore how this modern stadium hits a home run for accessibility, ensuring that everyone can savor the joy of America's favorite sport.
Wheelchair-Accessible Seating
One of the standout features of Globe Life Field is its ample wheelchair-accessible seating options. These seats are strategically placed throughout the stadium, providing fans with disabilities an unobstructed view of the action on the field. Whether you're sitting in the lower levels or the upper decks, you can rest assured that you'll have an excellent vantage point of the field. These wheelchair-accessible seats are raised so that when people in front of you stand up they are not blocking your line of sight.
Accessible Entrances and Parking
Getting to the stadium is a breeze for fans who use wheelchairs. Globe Life Field provides accessible parking spaces close to entrances, making it convenient for those with mobility challenges to arrive and exit comfortably. The stadium's entrances are designed to accommodate wheelchairs, ensuring that there are no barriers to entry. To ensure that you get an accessible parking space arrive early and buy a parking pass as most of the lots require a parking pass. To purchase a pass you can head to this link to purchase one directly from the Texas Rangers or you can buy one off of SeatGeek.
Assistive Listening Devices
For fans who are deaf or hard of hearing, Globe Life Field offers assistive listening devices. These devices enhance the auditory experience by providing clear and amplified sound. You can pick up these devices at designated locations within the stadium, ensuring that you don't miss a single play or announcement.
Sensory Rooms
Recognizing that sensory sensitivities can affect some fans, Globe Life Field goes the extra mile to create a sensory-inclusive environment. The stadium features sensory rooms where individuals with sensory sensitivities can take a break from the game in a calming and quiet space. These rooms are equipped with sensory-friendly amenities, providing a respite for those who may become overwhelmed by the noise and excitement of a baseball game.
Inclusive Ticketing
Globe Life Field is committed to making baseball games accessible to fans of all financial backgrounds. They offer accessible seating at various price points to ensure that cost is not a barrier to entry. The stadium's website provides comprehensive information on how to purchase tickets for accessible seating, making it easy for everyone to plan their visit in advance. If you ever get gifted or buy regular seats for a game and still want to go do not hesitate to email their exchange services and they will exchange your tickets for wheelchair-accessible seats at no cost and no questions asked.
Exceptional Guest Services
The staff at Globe Life Field is well-trained in providing exceptional guest services to patrons with disabilities. They are readily available to assist with any specific needs or requests, ensuring that your visit is as enjoyable as possible. If you have any questions, concerns, complaints, or just need help finding your seats Globe Life Field staff would be more than happy to help you out in any way they can.
Personal experience
My personal experience attending a Texas Rangers game at Globe Life Field has been amazing! Staff is super nice and helpful with anything I need. The entire stadium is super accessible with ramps and elevators located everywhere to get you to your seats and other parts of the stadium. The seats I have purchased for Texas Rangers games have had great views and have folding chairs so whenever you get there they just pull out a seat for my wheelchair to get in. The entire stadium is super accessible from inside and outside but the only complaint I have about this stadium is with the parking. All parking lots do have ADA parking and most of them are really close to the stadium but none of them really have enough spots for ADA vehicles. The lots that do are season ticket holder lots and if you do not have a pass for that lot the parking lot staff will not let you in. I have already emailed the Texas Rangers about this and hopefully they add a dedicated handicap lot just like American Airlines Center. Other than this the experience at Globe Life Field has been nothing but amazing!
